Our Venue Finding Coordinator, Laura Brinkworth recently jetted off to stay at the Hilton in Warsaw. Here’s what she had to say about Warsaw’s venues:
I had an early flight out to Warsaw so I stayed the night at the Hilton Gatwick. I was surprised how well I slept so close to the airport, I honestly didn’t hear a thing! It only took a minute to get to the airport via the tunnel leading from the hotel too, which was really helpful as every extra minute in bed is appreciated at that time in the morning!
I landed in Warsaw and was met by Agnieszka Najberek, the Director of Sales at the Hilton Warsaw and Pawe? Jurczak from the ICP Group. It was straight off to a meet and greet drinks reception to be introduced to the rest of the Hilton Warsaw team, who were all very friendly and welcoming. Walking into the hotel was amazing, the décor was really elegant and everything was fresh and modern. The bedrooms, meeting facilities and health & fitness centre were all beautifully done too. Dinner was at the hotel restaurant and the Head Chef paid regular visits to our table to check everything was ok for us. The food was fantastic and the staff even let me have a go blow torching my crème brûlée! The evening entertainment was a Casino Event to celebrate their anniversary in their largest suite. It was a very glamorous affair, with live music, impressive lighting and of course lots of gambling!
The next morning we got up bright and early (a bit too early after the night before to be honest!) to visit a series of venues. The first location on our itinerary was an office building with a twist. It was circular with a glass dome roof and the interior was laced with black stone. It would be fantastic for a private dinner/function and holds a maximum of 300 banquet style. Underneath the main room was a second function room fully fitted with a Bose Sound System and no natural daylight- perfect for a post dinner party! The next place we visited was the local University with another stunning stained glass roof. It was truly beautiful and holds a maximum of 600 guests for a seated dinner! Next I was taken to the picturesque Royal Gardens. This venue is a gorgeous oasis in the centre of the busy city and housed 4 historic event spaces. The spaces varied in size and could accommodate anything from a small boardroom meeting or piano concert to a music concert in the outdoor theatre on the lake! The last two venues were very unique and contemporary and would be ideal for a ‘Dragon’s Den’ event or fashion show as one was a fortress and the other a former warehouse. The variety of venues presented to us was fantastic and one of the things that surprised me the most was the hire charge- the prices ranged from £4, 500 to £15, 000 for the day! Considering the back drop of the venues, the quality and the size of them this is very reasonable.
After being wowed by such amazing venues it was on to Winosfera for an exceptional evening meal. The wine and food were delicious (and not just because I was starving after my busy day) and served to a high standard. After dinner we went to Level 27, a prestigious rooftop club on the (you guessed it!) 27th floor of a sky scraper. The interior was ultramodern and presented stunning views of the city of Warsaw.
I had such a lovely time on this trip, everything from the lovely staff to the impressive venues was fantastic and very informative. Warsaw would make a beautiful destination for any event/occasion, whether you are looking to host a small board meeting or a large gala dinner, Warsaw has plenty of unique and superb venues to offer, and all at an affordable price- bonus!
