We’re pleased to announce that we have recently struck a deal with Air France-KLM, which prevents our customers from having to pay the airlines’ distribution content surcharge on fares.

Our team have been working with our Global Distribution System (GDS) providers and the airlines to continue to provide fares without the surcharge. The deal will cover all flights by Air France-KLM.

A GDS is a reservation tool that enables transactions between travel industry service providers such as airlines, hotels, care rental companies and travel agencies.

Nick Scott, arrangeMY’s managing director, commented: “It’s important that we ensure our customers avoid unnecessary costs wherever possible when booking, and so we’re delighted to have reached an agreement with Air France-KLM to offer our clients the best value when booking with arrangeMY.”

GDS was introduced in 1970 and delivers rates, discounts, rooms, descriptions and more to travel agents and corporate businesses, allowing them to make bookings on behalf of others. Despite their age, GDS’ still represent a large percentage of bookings worldwide.

Air France-KLM is a Franco-Dutch airline holding company created by the mutually agreed merger between Air France and Netherlands-based KLM.
