The client is a leading electrical trade supplier with 230 branches, nationally.
It distributes a wide range of electrical products including lighting and circuit protection, wiring, industrial controls, safety kit, workwear and more. They employ around 1,200 people.
With a constant stream of vehicles and personnel crisscrossing the country, our client has complex travel and accommodation needs, which must be co-ordinated and managed.
They also require logistical support for meetings and events.
arrangeMY is the contracted provider of travel, accommodation and event support for this client.
This delivery includes:
- Logistics and management of all people and travel
- Competitive hotel rates in appropriate accommodation
- Structured and visible management reporting (including full costs transparency and spend breakdown)
- Support for all UK meetings and events.
The difference made
In addition to providing the full arrangeMY service, we also reviewed for this client, their associated VAT payments.
It became clear that our client’s previous travel supplier had not provided the appropriate advice regarding VAT reclaim and as a result, we were able to undertake a specific project to ensure in excess of five years unclaimed VAT was paid back to them.
We ran this project during the first year of our contract with the client and this resulted in significant cost-savings that they simply did not know they were entitled to.
Unclaimed VAT totalled approximately £600,000 and moving forward we are now saving the client over £200,000 annually.
