New competition!

In February 2015, Helena and Andy Hogarth, who had built up a £4m business with Hogarths Hotel Solihull, bought Stone Manor Hotel in Worcestershire.

The hotel had an iconic place in the lives of many local people. However, it was in need of some tender loving care. There was also a risk that any redevelopment would ruin the feel of the property that was rebuilt following a fire in 1924 to the designs of Edwin Thomas Hall, who famously designed Liberty’s in London.

£2.5m later, all public areas, bars, The Dining Room, meeting and events spaces and bedrooms have been refurbished. Feedback? “You have kept The Manor – but given it a modern twist”

The future is very exciting, not only do event bookers and organisers have a new hotel to work with; they have a team of people passionate about their product and providing great service. 27 acres of grounds await team builders, creative agencies and events companies just wanting a calm, relaxed environment.

Despite its postcode – DY10 4PJ – Hogarths Stone Manor is only 18 miles from the central business district of Birmingham, 6 miles from Bromsgrove and Droitwich, and 11 miles from Worcester. An escape to the country that is easy to reach.

One lucky winner will win a two nights, dinner, bed and breakfast break at Hogarths Stone Manor. They will have the chance to relax, explore and discover what this magnificent “new” hotel has to offer.

Question – which architect, famously responsible for the remarkable Liberty’s Department Store in London re-designed Stone Manor following its fire in 1920?
